Luke O'Donovan

On New Year’s Eve of 2013, Luke O’Donovan attended a house party in Reynoldstown, a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. Luke was seen dancing with and kissing other men at the party. Later in the night he was insulted with homophobic slurs, and attacked by several people at once. Luke unsuccessfully attempted to escape, at which point several witnesses reported watching between 5 and 12 men ganging-up on Luke and stomping on his head and body, evidently with the intent to kill him. Luke was called a faggot before and during the attack.

Jock Palfreeman

Then twenty-one year old Australian Jock Palfreeman started his travels around Europe in early 2006. Having visited numerous countries and stayed in a small town an hour drive from Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, living and working with his friends, he returned to visit them at the end of December 2007 after traveling to the UK.

Legal Case

Fidel Salinas

Fidel Salinas, a member of Anonymous, was sentenced to 6 months in prison and forced to pay $10,600.00 in restitution. Prior to surrendering to the Marshalls, Salinas reported that he was contacted by the FBI and asked to gather intel on Mexican drug cartels and also on government figures accepting bribes from drug cartels.

Higinio Ochoa III (w0rmer)

On March 21st, 2012 Higinio Ochoa III aka w0rmer, was arrested and charged with hacking law enforcement agency websites and posting the personal information of police officers online, as well as being accused of defacing a government website in Alabama. On June 25, 2012, Hig was forced to accept a plea agreement of 27 months in federal prison, seeing it as in the best interest of his family.  He was released on 11/12/2014.

Russell “Maroon” Shoatz

Russell Maroon Shoatz is a dedicated community activist, founding member of the Black Unity Council, former member of the Black Panther Party and soldier in the Black Liberation Army. He is serving multiple life sentences as a US-held political prisoner/prisoner of war.

Personal Background

Russell was born August 1943 in Philadelphia. He was one of 12 children. At the age of 15 he became involved in a gang, and was in and out of reform shools and youth institutions until the age of 18.

Joshua “Skelly” Stafford

“I first met Skelly a year before Occupy started.  He was a friend of my son’s and was over helping him with his bike.  My impression of Skelly was that he was someone that his friends could always depend on.  An incident with Skelly that touched my heart happened at Occupy.  One night at the food tent, a homeless family consisting of a woman and her two small children came by.  She stated that her eyes were bad and asked if someone could help identify the correct bus to get on.

Jaan Karl Laaman

Jaan Karl Laaman grew up in Roxbury, MA and Buffalo, NY. His family emigrated to the US from Estonia when he was a child.

He is currently serving a 53 year prison sentence for his role in the bombings of United States government buildings while a member of the United Freedom Front, an American leftist group which robbed banks, bombed buildings, and attacked law enforcement officers in the 1980s.

Political Life

Jared (Jay) Chase

Jay, of the NATO 3, is serving an 8-year sentence for helping undercover cops with their own idea to make molotov cocktails, that were never used, to protest the 2012 NATO summit in Chicago. He and his co-defendants were acquitted of many of the original charges, but convicted on lesser charges including misdemeanor mob action and possession of an incendiary device with intent to commit arson.

Nikos Romanos

Nikos Romanos, Andreas–Dimitris Bourzoukos, Giannis Mihailidis and Dimitris Politis were arrested after a car chase on 01/02/2013 after the double robbery at a branch on National Post office and at a branch of Agriculture Bank, in Venvento, Kozani. In addition, Nikos Romanos and Giannis Mihailidis are accused for the case of the two houses in Volos and Kalithea, Giannis Mihailidis and Dimitris Politis for the robbery at a branch of Agriculture Bank in Filotas, Florina and Giannis Mihailidis is accused for the case of the gunfight with cops in Pefki.
