Mikalai Dziadok

Anarchist and blogger Mikalai Dziadok was detained late in the evening of November 11, 2020. Dziadok was tortured for several hours and forced to give passwords to the encrypted equipment. Mikalai was accused of gross violation of public order, calls to the change of the regime via internet and possession of Molotov cocktails (he claims they were planted during the search). The prosecution believed that Dziadok repeatedly called for illegal actions on his Internet pages, including participation in protests and resistance to the cops.

Emma Sheppard

Emma was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment on 24th February 2015 at Bristol Crown Court for committing “Criminal damage recklessly endangering life.” The charge relates to criminal damage of police cars in the Bristol area.  Addres has been updated as of March 2015.

Paolo Rossi

The campaign against the building of the Turin-Lyon high speed rail link (TAV) has been running for 20+ years and regularly produces new arrests as the Italian State tries to suppress resistance.

Davide Forgione and Paolo Rossi, two comrades who have been involved in the Val Susa struggle against the TAV for a number of years, were arrested on August 30, 2013 after police stopped their car and found material considered suspicious.

Lucio Alberti

The campaign against the building of the Turin-Lyon high speed rail link has been running for 20+ years and regularly produces new arrests as the Italian State tries to suppress resistance.  Three anarchists, Lucio Alberti, Francesco Sala and Graziano Mazzarelli, were arrested on July 11, 2014, in connection with the action at the Chiomonte TAV site between May 13 & 14, 2013. On February 9, 2016, Lucio and Francesco were sentenced to 2 years and 2 months, and Graziano was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months.

Casey Brezik

Casey is an anarchist from the Kansas City area who was charged with slashing the throat of the Dean of Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley. This occurred when the Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon, was scheduled to give a talk at the college. In February 2011, the state declared him to be incapable of standing trial, which means he was forced to stay locked up in a mental institution pre-trial until June of 2013. He was sentenced to 12 years on each of three counts – assault, and two armed criminal action charges – and seven years on a second count of assault.

Cleveland 4

The Cleveland 4 were Occupy Cleveland activists, that were arrested on April 30th, 2012. They were accused of plotting a series of bombings, including that of an area bridge.  However, the real story is that the FBI, working with an informant, created the scheme, produced the explosives, and coerced them into participating.
     

NATO 3

On May 16, 2012, Chicago cops raided an apartment in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago in an all-too-common attempt to scare people away from the imminent protests against the NATO summit. With guns drawn, the cops arrested 11 people in or around the apartment and quickly disappeared them into the bowels of the extensive network of detention facilities in Cook County, Illinois.
