Herman Bell

 

Personal Background

Herman Bell was born in Mississippi and moved to Brooklyn, New York as a boy. He was a talented High School football player and won a football scholarship to the University of California in Oakland. While in Oakland, Herman joined the Black Panther Party and became active around human rights issues in the Black community.

Zolo Azania

Personal Background

Zolo Azania is a former Black Panther convicted of a 1981 bank robbery that left a Gary, Indiana cop dead. He was arrested miles away from the incident as he was walking, unarmed, down the street.  After a trial plagued with injustices, Zolo was given the death penalty.  After years of campaigning and several orders to stop his execution, the death penalty sentence was finally dropped. Zolo still adamantly maintains innocence.

Sundiata Acoli

Sundiata is a tireless worker for Black liberation, and once a prominent member of the Harlem chapter of the Black Panther Party. After targeting by the FBI’s illegal COINTELPRO operation, Sundiata continued the struggle underground. In 1973 he and two friends were stopped by New Jersey state troopers. One of his friends and one state trooper was killed during the incident. In a politically charged and biased trial, Sundiata was sentenced to life plus 30 years.

Personal Background

Kevin Olliff

Kevin is a 28 year-old activist from the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. A vegan since age 15, Kevin has been involved in numerous animal rights campaigns since the mid-2000s, including vegan outreach, anti-vivisection work, and a tour with Sea Shepherd.

Luke O'Donovan

On New Year’s Eve of 2013, Luke O’Donovan attended a house party in Reynoldstown, a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. Luke was seen dancing with and kissing other men at the party. Later in the night he was insulted with homophobic slurs, and attacked by several people at once. Luke unsuccessfully attempted to escape, at which point several witnesses reported watching between 5 and 12 men ganging-up on Luke and stomping on his head and body, evidently with the intent to kill him. Luke was called a faggot before and during the attack.

Jock Palfreeman

Then twenty-one year old Australian Jock Palfreeman started his travels around Europe in early 2006. Having visited numerous countries and stayed in a small town an hour drive from Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, living and working with his friends, he returned to visit them at the end of December 2007 after traveling to the UK.

Legal Case

Fidel Salinas

Fidel Salinas, a member of Anonymous, was sentenced to 6 months in prison and forced to pay $10,600.00 in restitution. Prior to surrendering to the Marshalls, Salinas reported that he was contacted by the FBI and asked to gather intel on Mexican drug cartels and also on government figures accepting bribes from drug cartels.

Higinio Ochoa III (w0rmer)

On March 21st, 2012 Higinio Ochoa III aka w0rmer, was arrested and charged with hacking law enforcement agency websites and posting the personal information of police officers online, as well as being accused of defacing a government website in Alabama. On June 25, 2012, Hig was forced to accept a plea agreement of 27 months in federal prison, seeing it as in the best interest of his family.  He was released on 11/12/2014.

Thomas Meyer-Falk

Thomas was released in August 2023.
He is continuing the struggle against prison and injustice.
