José Felan

On October 18, 2022, José was sentenced by Judge Doty to 6.5 years with 3 years of supervised release.Restitution was set at $39,028 to be split with co-defendant Mohamad Abdi.

 

"Greetings, my name is José Felan and I am currently incarcerated due to the George Floyd protests here in Minnesota.

Matthew Rupert

Matthew Rupert grew up in Galesburg Illinois with his loving parents Linda and Michael, his oldest sister Kristy, Middle sister Kari, youngest sister Karen, and brother Christopher. His father became sick when Matthew was young. Michael had several medical conditions including bipolar disorder, manic depression, and had suffered several strokes. He passed away December 6, 2012 leaving Linda a widow. 

Montez Lee

On January 14th, 2022, Montez Lee was sentenced to 10 years in prison, having pled guilty to one count of arson after facing multiple federal charges and being held without bond after his arrest.

From Minnesota Uprising Arrestee Support: During his sentencing Montez shared a very powerful statement where he described his experience with police brutality as a Black man and how he hopes to be part of the solution not the problem, his hope to work to better himself and his community, and how his kids deserve better.

Kyree Robertson

26 year old Kyree Robertson was sentenced in July 2021 to 23 months for riot charges from May 2020 in Grand Rapids. Kyree was held without bond and received a significantly different sentence than others convicted of riot charges, with his family commenting to media at the time of his sentencing that they had expected him to be sentenced to time served and to come home in July. Kyree would appreciate letters and messages of support.
